Nivedano

Percussionist & Meditator

Nivedano is a Brazilian percussionist and meditation facilitator.

During the 1970s and 1980s, he performed professionally and shared the stage with some of the world's most renowned artists, including Wayne Shorter, James Brown, Weather Report, and Miles Davis.

After achieving success as a musician, his journey gradually led him toward meditation.

He later studied with the Indian meditation teacher Sri Chinmoy and formed connections with artists such as Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin. He also spent many years working with the Indian meditation master OSHO, guiding and supporting countless people in meditation through music.

Rather than using sound simply to entertain or stimulate, Nivedano's unique gift is using music as a doorway to stillness.

Through rhythm and sound, he gently invites people to reconnect with the silence that already exists within them.

Daya

Organizer & Facilitator

Daya is a facilitator specializing in Process Oriented Psychology.

For more than 20 years, she has supported people in living more fully and authentically through process work, meditation, and group facilitation.

After nearly two decades of exploring meditation, she rediscovered music following a 35-year break. Inspired by a childhood dream of playing the drums, she began exploring the possibilities of bringing together music, meditation, and process work.

Today, Daya leads the project Rhythm of Life, which integrates Process Oriented Psychology, meditation, and music.

Through creating spaces where people can reconnect with their own rhythm and life energy, she hopes to help people remember the joy of being fully alive.

Rhythm into Silence:

A One-Month Journey of Music and Meditation

Please Donate to Bring Nivedano to Japan

Support Us !

In Japan today, connections within local communities and between people have gradually weakened. The isolation brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic deepened this divide, and many people continue to struggle with loneliness and disconnection.

At the same time, surrounded by an overwhelming amount of information, many have lost touch with their bodies, their inner voices, and a sense of how they truly want to live.

That is why we decided to invite Nivedano—a percussionist and meditator who worked for many years with the Indian meditation master OSHO—to Japan. For many years, he has shared meditation through rhythm with people around the world, inviting them to reconnect with themselves beyond words. Through our new project, Rhythm into Silence, we hope to create a space where people can reconnect with themselves and with one another, experience the joy of being fully alive, and discover the stillness within through music and rhythm.

We believe that when people reconnect deeply with themselves, compassion naturally arises—and with it, a deeper connection with others. From this inner peace, a more peaceful world can begin to emerge.

If this vision resonates with you, we warmly invite you to support this project with a donation and help bring Rhythm into Silence to Japan.

Make a Donation

Japan is currently experiencing a prolonged period of economic stagnation, while the weak yen has significantly increased the cost of international projects. Inviting artists and teachers from overseas now requires far greater financial resources than it did just a few years ago, making it extremely challenging for us to bring this project to life on our own.

Your donation will help cover Nivedano's travel and accommodation in Japan, venue expenses, instrument rental, and other essential costs needed to bring Rhythm into Silence to life.

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings this project one step closer to becoming a reality.
